Frequently asked questions
We do not often run into this issue as we will ask for the recipient's name and phone number so that we can connect with them to coordinate delivery and keep them posted with our arrival time. We try to avoid leaving flowers out in the elements if we can! (We do live in Wisconsin after all!)
Yes, please ensure that you have the correct full name of the recipient and their hospital wing/room number. (A cell phone number of a loved one is also appreciated to coordinate delivery.) If a patient is in the ICU, deliveries are typically not allowed, so keep that in mind before placing your order.
We kindly ask for a 48 hr notice for floral orders but will certainly do our best to get your floral order delivered the same day if the order is received by noon.Â
We are based in South East Wisconsin and therefore would not be able to accommodate out-of-state deliveries at this time. (Some exceptions may be made to Illinois as we are located so close to the border.) My recommendation would be to look for a local florist in the city nearest to your recipient as there are many amazing floral designers across the country and we love to support local businesses! We'd be happy to help you sort through the A.I./1-800's of the world so please reach out if you are in need of assistance.Â
Due to seasonal availability, and the perishable nature of our business, substitutions may need to be made on occasion. If a specific flower is not available, we will substitute it with a flower of equal or greater value while maintaining the color and style of the arrangement.Â
With proper care, most bouquets and arrangements should last 4-8 days. Here are a few tips to keep your Joyful Blooms happy in their new home:
-Trim stems by 1-2 inches at a 45 degree angle
-Change the water every 2-3 days and remove any leaves below the waterline
-Keep the arrangement away from direct sunlight, ceiling fans, heating vents, and ripening fruit (yes, really this is a thing!)
Please call us directly as soon as possible to discuss the possibility of changes or cancellations. Changes cannot be made if the order is already designed or out for delivery.
The honest answer is as soon as your venue is booked! This is especially recommended if you are getting married in the months of September or October as those seem to be our most popular months every wedding season.
If you'd like to make any changes or updates to your floral subscription we ask for 72 hour notice from when your order is set to be picked up or delivered. Please email or call us directly to make the changes. If changes or updates take place under the 72 hour window, the changes or updates will be effective during the next subscription cycle (e.g. weekly, bi-weekly, monthly).
